The Annual Report gives a concise overview on the achievements of the HUMBOLDT project within its third project year. Beside an update of the scientific and technical results the HUMBOLDT Training activities are introduced. Furthermore, three HUMBOLDT Application Scenarios are portrayed: Atmosphere, European Risk Atlas (ERiskA) and Forest. Experience Reports on the several Conferences HUMBOLDT was participating in complete the Chapter about the development of the HUMBOLDT User Community. Finally, the upcoming steps for the final project year are presented.

Process specification evaluation and improvement

This deliverable comprises the processes for a collaborative software development. The transfer of the specifications expressed in Deliverable A4.2-D1 from abstractness to practicability was the purpose of the work carried out in the A4.3 period. In this period we have looked for the further improvement of the collaboration and fluid communication between HUMBOLDT partners, in this sense, the establishment of methodologies and procedures to follow have been agreed among interested parties and are reflected in the current document. Additionally, a deep analysis of the used tools and actual needs in terms of applications for cooperation have been carried out, resulting on a complete technical infrastructure that reader can find described in one of the chapters of the current deliverable.

This Annual Report concerns the second project year. It contains information about the activities of the HUMBOLDT consortium and the technical, scientific and cost-related results achieved so far. Moreover, it informs about the Mid Term Call and presents two scenarios in detail: Protected Areas and Ocean. Another topic is the development of the HUMBOLDT User Community.
