The EU Humboldt Project – Networking of Spatial Data
- Weather, rivers preserve areas are inherently international and don’t care for national borders. The necessary political decisions and challenges resulting from natural disasters or concerning the protection of preserve areas are, consequently, also transboundary concerns. The spatial data required for this in Europe, however, shows an extensive heterogeneity.

Survey on the Geographic Information Market in Europe
The Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD, as coordinator of the EU project HUMBOLDT, in cooperation with the Technical University Darmstadt prepared a survey on the European GI Market.
The main goal of this study is to deduce certain trends and future developments based on the opinions and expectations of market experts and decision makers and not to obtain a representative empirical study.
